[Kiya's Onioroshi]

Kiya’s Onioroshi grater can be used not only for daikon radish, but also for carrots and various other vegetables. For example, roughly grating carrots for a carrot cake enhances their natural flavor and adds depth to the texture.

When grating, it's best to start from the thicker end where the leaves were attached—this provides better stability and smoother operation. Once the vegetable becomes too thin to grate easily, you can simply coarsely chop the rest with a knife.

The grated vegetables can be used in many ways—such as in dressings, hot pot dishes, as condiments for noodles, in onioroshi-don (rice bowls topped with Japanese rolled omelet and coarsely grated daikon radish), or as a topping for hamburger steaks. This versatile tool adds richness to your meals throughout the year.

Now on display at all of our showrooms—please feel free to try it out when you visit.
