[Taiwanese Ekiben-Style Bento]

Before traveling, it is a fun task to check out and make a list of the best food in the destination. I love Taiwan and want to go there at least once a year, but one thing I have missed many chances to try in Taiwan and have yet to eat is the “Taiwan Railway Bento.” Yes, it is a Taiwanese ekiben. In particular, I would like to compare the Chinese-style fried pork chop bento there, and with this in mind, I made a “Taiwanese ekiben-style bento” in a large Square Food Box made by Kobo Aizawa.

Served with a braised egg, takuan (pickled daikon), and pickled takana (mustard greens). I added boiled komatsuna (Japanese mustard greens) because I had some space left. There are various recipes for deep-fried or braised pork depending on the place, but today I tried to make it easy by marinating it in a seasoning solution and deep-frying it.

The stainless steel food box prevents food color and odor transfer, and the silicone gasket also makes it safe to put stewed food in. It is also highly recommended as a lunch box, with a rubber band. Please take a look.
