[Kitakyushu Municipal Hibikinada Green Park]

Kitakyushu Municipal Hibikinada Green Park is the largest park in Kitakyushu City with the theme of “water, greenery, and contact with animals.” It is a 15-minute drive from the Wakamatsu Showroom. Surrounding the park is the vast Tonda Reservoir, with its complex waterline reminiscent of a rias coastline, and in addition to the Green Park, which is a park facility, there are various other natural areas such as mountains, forests, fields, and beaches.

The Green Park opened in 1992. Many locals and visitors from other prefectures come to visit, and the park is especially crowded on weekends when many flea markets and events are held. The old tropical ecology garden and animal petting zoo are also very popular, but I recommend the world's longest swing, which was certified as a Guinness World Record in 2019.

Even as an adult, it makes me feel as if I could fly to the sky on the swings with all my might. The swings are in a large loop, so children can enjoy changing the scenery from swing to swing. In 2023, the “Hibikinada Camp Base,” a campground where you can “play in the park and stay in the park,” will open!
