[Anko Mochi Bread and Bread Crust Sticks]

There are times when you want to eat something sweet to refresh yourself while teleworking. How about "Anko Mochi Fried Bread," an easy-to-make snack using rice cakes and bread? This one was eaten as a YouTube project for a while, and it has a nostalgic taste that matches the texture of the crispy bread and rice cake.

INGREDIENTS
8 slices of bread
Rice cake
Anko (koshi-an or tsubuan-an, as desired)
A mixture of milk and flour
Deep-frying oil

DIRECTIONS
Cut off the crusts of the bread.
Using a rolling pin, roll out the outside of the bread about 1.5 to 2 cm to make the center puffy.
Slice the rice cake in half, put it in a heatproof container, soak it in water, and warm it in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes.
Place the anko and the softened rice cake on the bread.
Cover the top and bottom of the loaf with the milk-flour mixture.
Heat oil to 160°C and fry until golden brown on both sides.
Drain off the oil and cut in half.

When cutting bread, we recommend the Tadafusa's Bread Knife, which cuts easily. It can be served freshly fried and crispy on Moyai Kogei's Zelkova Bread Plate. The bread plate that has been soaked with oil will become more and more flavorful as time goes by.

You can also make delicious bread crust sticks by simply frying the trimmed bread crust in oil and then shaking them in a bag of sugar and cinnamon mixture. This one comes in Ceramic Japan's Duck Mug! The unique vessel will make your sweet treat time even more relaxing.

Rikucho Ogasawara's Frying Pan is perfect for frying anko mochi bread and bread crust sticks. Please consider it.
