Kinosaki Onsen, a famous hot spring resort in Hyogo Prefecture, is frequented by hot spring lovers from all over Japan and tourists from overseas.

Kinosaki Onsen, which celebrated its 1300th anniversary in 2020, since its opening in 720 by Douchi Shonin, is said to be the birthplace of hot spring tourism, and is famous for its "out-spa tour," in which visitors tour seven different out-spa baths in the Kinosaki style, wearing yukata and geta.

All of the seven outdoor baths are expected to provide various benefits for curing neuralgia, joint pain, and sensitivity to cold. The popular "Gosho no Yu," also known as the "sky bath" because of its high ceiling, is a wooden bath with an open feel. The famous "Ichi no Yu," with its distinctive building reminiscent of a Kabuki theater, is a cave bath that, contrary to its appearance, boasts a unique landscape. In addition, there are many other unique bathhouses, such as Mandara-yu, the birthplace of Kinosaki, and Yanagiyu, a small but tasteful bathhouse, but in all of these bathhouses, there is a great deal of care taken to make the bathers feel comfortable.

When you visit Kinosaki Onsen, why don't you soak in the hot water and recover from the fatigue of the year? You can also visit the Onsenji Temple, the symbol of Kinosaki Onsen, stores selling handicrafts to commemorate your visit to Kinosaki, and Matsuba crab, which can be enjoyed from November to March. We also have a variety of travel goods for you to use when you visit the hot springs so please have a look at our online page.

If you want to feel as if you are in a prestigious hot spring like Kinosaki Onsen at home, try Yamaichi's bathing set filled with the scent of wood for an easy "Japanese" experience.
