[Before the Longed-for “Ohitsu”]
Kurikyu's Magewappa Ohitsu is made of Akita cedar, which is characterized by its straight and beautiful vertical grain. Every time you open the lid, the refreshing scent of cedar, as if you were in a forest, will put your mind at ease. Among the products sold in our store, this is a gem that we think many people would like to purchase, especially after seeing it in person.
The 15mm thick lid plate absorbs the steam from the rice moderately and removes the rough heat, making the rice even tastier. However, the price is quite expensive... So, how about using a lunch box with the same all-over unpainted surface as the ohitsu before the ohitsu of your dreams?
We have specially asked the manufacturer to produce a lunch box that is entirely unpainted, leaving the inside and outside of the box made of white wood. Just like our bento boxes, you can enjoy delicious rice with the aroma of Akita cedar that has had its rough heat and excess moisture removed. There are two sizes: Koban S and Koban Slim. The Koban Slim can hold one cup of rice, so it can be used like a ohitsu with freshly cooked rice. In addition, the entire surface is unpainted, just like the Ohitsu, so usage and care are almost the same. We hope that once you have become accustomed to the care and handling of our unpainted products, you will consider Ohitsu as your next choice.
You can now see the unpainted lunch boxes and the ohitsu at our Sanjo Showroom. Both are wonderful tools for daily life that change over time with age and become more and more beloved the more you use them. The Sanjo Showroom in Kyoto is also the only place where outlet products are available for purchase. We look forward to seeing you.
