[Iron Frying Pan]

One way to compensate for iron deficiency is to use an iron frying pan. It is said that cooking in an iron pot provides about three times as much iron as cooking in other pots. Adding acidic foods will dissolve the iron and make it even more effective. Vinegared pork or stewed tomatoes made with black vinegar are also good.

Iron frying pans are sometimes avoided because they are "heavy," "difficult to clean," and "food tends to stick to them," but they can be handled much more easily by simply following a few key points regarding cleaning and non-stick characteristics. And the more you use it, the more it grows into a useful and easy-to-use item.

FD Style is a brand by FD Ltd. in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture. This frying pan is lightweight due to the spinning process technology, which stretches and forms the iron as if turning a potter's wheel. The weight is easy for women to hold in their hands.

Another hurdle is "blank baking." Most iron pots and pans are coated with a rust-preventive coating, and at the beginning of use, the pot needs to be "blank baked" to burn off the coating. FD Style's Frying Pan made that unnecessary. The oxynitriding process, in which iron is oxidized and nitrided, not only eliminates the need for "blank baking," but also allows for better oil absorption afterwards.

At the beginning of use, "oil tempering" will make the pan easier to use. When the pan is heated, spread a little oil around the entire bottom of the pan and blend it well. Return excess oil to the oil pot. If you do this only at the beginning, the pan will grow into a non-stick pan. When cooking, heat the pan well for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until a light smoke rises from the pan. Warming the vegetables thoroughly before cooking them with oil takes the usual vegetable stir-fry to the next level.

After cooking, clean the food with hot water and a scrubbing brush without detergent, wipe it dry, dry it over a fire, and occasionally apply a thin coat of oil.

FD Style's Frying Pan Deep is ideal for deep frying and a little simmered dishes. For example, tempura of spring wild vegetables. The batter made from rice flour is crispy and the aroma of spring spreads in your mouth, making it a truly mouth-watering experience.

[Manufacturing at Kobo Aizawa]

Kobo Aizawa was founded in 1922 in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture.

Kobo Aizawa believes that both "function" and "beauty" should not be lacking in manufacturing, and the brand is constantly pursuing the reasons why "objects" are necessary and continuing to produce them. In October 1986, cutlery produced in an attempt to create something on par with European traditions was selected for inclusion in the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Kobo Aizawa's Straight Kettle has a wide base and is induction heating compatible. It is stylish, rust-resistant, and durable. With a capacity of approximately 2.34 liters, this kettle holds plenty of water and is perfect for daily use.

Kobo Aizawa's Rectangular Lunch Box has a capacity of 500 ml per tier and is designed to be used cleanly for a long time with minimal food odor transfer. In addition, the lid has a silicon packing, so simmered dishes can be safely placed in it.

As the brand's philosophy is to "breathe life into things by reducing ornamentation," each product has no waste, fits naturally into daily life, and can be used for many years to come.
