We made a pumpkin pudding by cooling it inside the refrigerator together with our earthen pot which was truly exquisite. This plate made in Meissen was a wedding gift from a classmate who's working as a researcher in Europe for a long time. Although Meissen is a famous kiln located in Germany where hard porcelains were first developed in Europe 300 years ago, they originate from the oriental porcelains of Japan and China. It is known that they were strongly influenced especially by Arita ware's Kakiemon style, and porcelains with design reproducing that of Kakiemon style were also produced in Meissen. We could feel the continuous connection between culture and history through these porcelains.
